No one likes gardening chores! But come spring, a few gardening chores here and there are to be expected. If you are getting ready to sow your seeds, you HAVE to do these spring gardening chores!
Put a layer of hay on the garden, it’ll smother the weeds and greatly reduces watering.
Trim around fruit trees and mulch the bases for optimal fruit tree growth!
Didn’t finish your house painting project from last spring? Now is the perfect chance to finish up painting the trim!
Pull weeds from your flower garden and put another layer of mulch.
Stop and smell the lemons… or flowers that is!
Kill off the grass in your park strip and you’ll grow wildflowers instead of weeds.
Plan what to put in your garden for 2017! Make it a fun activity and draw out your gardening plans on a sheet of paper. Color it too, for maximum visual effect!
Prune apple trees before new growth starts.
Rake your leaves and grind them up! Spread the leaves throughout your yard for a great natural fertilizer.
Lastly, move mulch or leaves around the base of all your trees. After the long winter, they’re in dire need of a dose of minerals!
