1 Start growing broccoli this year for a delicious veggie that can (practically) be grown year round!

2 Grow Zone: Broccoli grows well in almost any zone.

3 Water and Sun Needs: Part sun, full sun.

4 Average Size: 1-3 feet tall, 18-24 inches wide.

7 How to Get Started: 6 weeks before the LAST spring frost, begin growing your broccoli seeds indoors. When transplanting, do so slowly (accustom it slowly to different temps) , or you will shock the plant. As soon as you can work the soil, get your broccoli plants in the ground. Make sure your broccoli plants are getting plenty of sunlight everyday, and water deeply but irregularly.

8 When to Harvest: Harvest broccoli when your tops are green and full. Do so with a sharp kitchen knife. Many believe that it’s best to harvest broccoli after the first real fall frost!
