1 Snapdragons are an important component in the pollinating world, as they attract tons of bees. I’m always looking for a little help in terms of pollinating flowers, so I like to scatter these around my landscaping to help bring other pollinators to my vegetable garden.

2 Grow Zone: Grow in zones 7-10.

3 Water and Sun Needs: Provide 1 inch of water for Snapdragons if you live in areas of little rainfall. Grow in areas of partial to full sun.

4 Average Size: Can grow up to 8 feet tall, and 1.5 feet wide.

5 Plant Type: Annual

6 Special Features: These plants are extremely low maintainence, do great and containers, and bring you the bees.

7 How to Get Started: Before planting Snapdragons it’s important to note that they like to grow in soil that has a PH of 6.2 and 7.0. I suggest testing your soil prior to planting. Snapdragons do die off rather quickly, and rarely survive to last past their first year. If you want to replant, I recommend pulling the plants out by the roots and replanting a new crop. 8 When to Harvest: These annuals love cool climates; expect their prettiest blooms in early Spring and late Fall. Depending on your grow zone, they may survive well into the winter if conditions are suitable. Don’t expect many blooms come Summer, these flowers love the cooler climates.
