All you need is a little food scraps and water to regrow food! I’ll show you!

Regrow food from scraps? I used to think that there was NO way I could regrow food from scraps, but it’s actually surprisingly easy! Use my method to regrow food in your own kitchen!
Take the bottom of a heart of lettuce and put it in a container with about ½ inch of water. Make sure to keep it in sunlight and switch the water every other day or so. Continue until the lettuce begins to sprout!
To regrow cabbage, put the root end in a bowl of water. It doesn’t need to be deep water, and the cabbage will start to regrow from the middle. Harvest it when small so it has the best flavor.
Lots of people say that green onions are the easiest food to regrow in water. Take the roots and cover them in water so the roots are pointed down. Give it a few weeks (changing out the water) and you’re good!
Take the base of your leeks and put them in a bowl of water so that they’re covered. Keep the bowl in sunlight and, in a few days, you’ll start to see some little sprouts!
For celery, just take the bottom 2 inches of the stalk and put it in a bowl of water. In about 4 days, you’ll see new growth! It will take a while for a full stalk to grow, but patience is key!
Cut the bottom inch of the roots of fennel off and place them in a bowl of water. Switch the water out as needed so it doesn’t get too dirty and the fennel will start to regrow!
Take the bottom two or three inches of lemongrass shoots and put them in a tall glass of water with about ½ an inch of water. The new shoots will grow from the middle.
Try regrowing some garlic chives! Just take a garlic clove and put it in a container and add water without submerging the whole thing. Within a few days, the shoots will start to appear!
Cut off the bottom part of a stalk of bok choy. Place it in a bowl of water, changing the water when needed, and new growth will begin in just a few days.
While you can’t grow carrots in water, you can grow the green carrot stem! These aren’t good by themselves, but they work well as garnishes or mixed with honey or something else to sweeten them! Regrow food like this for sure!
