I love to spend as much time in the vegetable garden as I possibly can. I affectionately refer to my garden as my happy place, and that’s because it is. I’m even a certified master gardener. Vegetable Gardening Ideas: Indoor
If you don’t have tons of space for gardening vegetables outside, you can always grow them indoors! Believe it or not, you can grow a whole vegetable garden on your windowsill. You just need the right kind of vegetables. I recommend starting with lettuce, chives, red peppers, and mini tomatoes. All of these need similar lighting needs and these are usually the most commonly used items in a garden, for me anyway. Of course, when growing vegetables indoors, you can grow some of them in water. For some gardeners, propagating vegetables in water is easier than managing soil moisture. If the soil gets too moist, you might have root rot problems and no one wants that. So why not propagate in water instead? When growing vegetables at home, one of the most important things to do is layout your garden so that it will have complete success. New to vegetable gardening? No worries. It’s something that everyone can pick up with a little practice. When starting to garden, I recommend planting a variety of easy-to-grow vegetables like carrots, kale, and other lettuce. If you don’t have the in-ground space needed to start your vegetable gardening, try your hand at using above-ground containers instead. Small containers are great because you can plant a lot of the same variety together for easy organization and care. Plus you can move your raised beds around if need be.
