How to Get Started: 6 weeks before the last Spring frost date is when you should start your tomato seedlings indoors. Learn more about starting seeds indoors here. When you transplant them outdoors in the spring, make sure you do so in an area of full sun. For best plant health, work a compost mixture into garden soil a few weeks before transplanting. Water extremely well after transplanting to help with root shock. Adult plants should receive 2 inches of water per week, regularly, to produce quality fruit.
When to Harvest: Exact harvest dates vary on growing conditions, but you can expect your plant to start producing fruit 65 to 85 days after sowing the seeds.
