How to Get Started: Begin growing Spirea in late fall or early spring in an area of full sun. Soil should be well draining and acidic. Water plants deeply immediately after planting, and then make sure they get two inches of water weekly. Feed plants in the spring and fall!
When to Harvest: Spirea bloom in the early spring, but if pruned correctly, they can continue blooming past the Fourth of July (prune immediately after the Spring blooms flower.)
What to Plant It With: Evergreen shrubs, Butterfly Bush, Coneflowers, or Japanese Blood Grass.
